**MARKLINE by Vertexi5** helps brands, agencies and publishers get ready for EU AI Act **Article 50** transparency duties on AI-generated and manipulated content. Product = MARKLINE; legal/commercial = Vertexi5.

## Problem

Creative stacks ship text, image, audio and video that may be AI-generated — often without a durable machine-readable mark, clear human disclosure, or agreement on who is the **provider** and who is the **deployer**. Agencies, brands and martech vendors share campaigns and different exposure. UK firms with EU audiences may still sit inside Article 50 scope; ASA/CAP still governs UK advertising presentation.

## Article 50 timeline (claims C1–C2)

- **C1** — Article 50 transparency obligations have applied since **2 August 2026**.
- **C2** — For generative systems placed on the market before 2 August 2026, grace for **Article 50(2) machine-readable marking / detection** runs until **2 December 2026**. Deployer duties (e.g. deepfakes, certain public-interest text) are generally **not** deferred by this grace.
